St Nicks event partner Native Architects is opening its green oak framed home office extension to the architects’ 1920s cottage. The office incorporates many renewable technologies including a Carbon Trust funded bio-mass boiler to run underfloor heating, triple-glazed windows, sunpipes, natural lighting and ventilation, and a solar hot water system.

The incorporated technologies have allowed the property to lower its carbon footprint by 8 tonnes per annum and act as a demonstration platform for the company's commitment to sustainable construction techniques.

If you're planning to build your own eco home, you're welcome to pop along for a free chat with the architects on the day.

GETTING THERE:
If you can, please walk, cycle (there is a cycle lane along much of A19 or the quieter B122, from which you can turn into Howden Lane) or use bus 36 or 415. - i-Travel York can help you plan your journey by any means. There is some parking on site or along the lane.
